Most men will tell you that two is always better than one, just like beer and pizza are the ultimate winning combination any day of the week. When it comes to our skin care, that’s a different story. Guys don’t think about taking care of their skin, except maybe occasionally washing their face with soap or shaving. The big question is how do you know what to use on your face? Thankfully Jack Black has released two new products that are meant to be paired together in their RXSeries of Protein Booster Skin Serum and Protein Booster Eye Rescue.

Over the last month and a half, I’ve been testing out both the Jack Black Protein Skin Serum and Protein Booster Eye Resuce to see if
these anti-aging products really do work.

Jack Black Protein Booster Skin Serum
The Skin Serum is designed to do two things: protect and correct your skin; keeping it healthy and young looking from the inside out. The advanced anti-aging serum is meant to be applied daily alone or mixed in with your favorite moisturizer to help protect your face and give you healthy looking skin.

What’s in it?

How to use the Skin Serum
The serum is opaque in color and is very easily absorbed into the skin with its silky texture. Skin serums are meant to be mixed with a moisturizer or blended with another product, like aftershave lotion. Since, I have sensitive and oily skin, I used the serum straight up. When applying the skin serum, you only need one pump of the liquid to cover your entire face. I would apply the Protein Booster Skin Serum every morning after I showered on my clean face.

Results
The first few days of using the skin serum, I noticed how tight my skin would feel, especially my forehead. You can really feel the SYNAKE peptide and Dynalift Sorghum Stalk Juice going to work immeadiately. One thing I was concerned about, is that it might cause my skin to break out or become oily, which didn’t happen at all. My skin hasn’t looked or felt so good before, since I strated using the Protein Booster Skin Serum.
Over the next weeks I started to notice that my skin had a nice healthy glow to it, and the few faint expression lines I do have are smoother looking.

Overall, the Jack Black Protein Booster Skin Serum did make a difference in my skin tone and help minimize the appearance of fine lines on my face. Will it remove your wrinkles completely? How to use the Eye Rescue
The eye rescue is a lightweight white cream that can be applied twice each day, morning and night to clean skin. It’s recommended that one pump is enough product for both eyes, but I found that to be a little too much eye cream being dispensed and a half pump is sufficient. Just apply by gently patting the eye rescue evenly around your eye area, avoiding your eyelids and that’s it!

Results
As someone who has never used eye cream before I was little worried that it could irritate my eyes. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Eye Rescue to be very gentle and caused no irritation at all. The Eye Rescue is supposed to help with combating fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness, and dark circles. I don’t have dark circles or puffiness under my eyes, so I couldn’t test for those claims, but I do have some fine lines under my eyes that I could evaluate the Eye Rescue.

What I noticed from using the eye cream is that it doesn’t absorb as quickly into the skin like the serum does and leaves a trace amount of residue on the skin. The appearance of the fine lines under my eyes seem to have diminished over the past month and half of daily use, but not eliminated completely. The other thing I noticed is how the skin under my eyes now have a slight glow or radiance to them from using the Eye Rescue, that I didn’t notice before.

Overall, I was quite pleased with the results of the Jack Black Protein Booster Eye Rescue in minimizing the fine lines under my eyes.

My custom MojaMix
When I made my custom mix, I used French-Vanilla Almond Granola for my base mix, added dried cranberries and blueberries for the fruit, and added pumpkin and flax seeds for the nuts and seeds. I skipped the Extras step when creating my mix, which I called the “Nutty Frenchman.” After placing my order, it took less than 5 business days to arrive at my house, just like they indicate on their website.

Taste
Before I opened the bag of the Nutty Frenchman MojaMix, the instructions on the back of the bag recommends you shake the bag, because the contents have a tendency to settle. I did that and proceeded to open my bag of custom cereal. I’m not a big fan of overly hard or brittle granola, so I was little concerned that my French Vanilla Almond granola, would be too hard, but I was pleasantly surprised. The granola was the right texture, not too hard and not too soft, and was extremely fresh. I didn’t find the French Vanilla to be very strong in the slightest and it was quite subtle, which is what I prefer.

The dried blueberries and cranberries were rather large in size and very fresh, not gummy or hard. And the pumpkin and flax seeds were delicious and unsalted. Each package contains 12 oz of your cereal – or about 6-7 breakfast servings and ingredients are 100% natural, and very fresh.

Like most people, myself included, the silver bullet is a trip the Container Store to buy all the organizational storage that money can buy.  Slam on the brakes!

That’s the wrong approach, according to Gretchen Rubin from The Happiness Project.  According to Gretchen, there are Eleven Myths to De-Cluttering that you need to avoid in order to reach the nirvana and happiness you so desire.

Myth number 1: “I need to get organized.”  No! Don’t get organized is the first step.  This may not make sense, but her post on why you shouldn’t get organized is the main reason we never truly are. I can’t help but think how myth number 1 sounds similar to Fight Club rule number 1: “Never talk about Fight Club.”

You can read all the 11 Myths on her post, but I’ll some it up for you in a nutshell: Throw out what you don’t want or use and you’ll never have to worry about being organized again, because we are usually are biggest obstacles to achieving the serenity of being clutter free.
